The Athletic has live coverage of Cowboys vs Eagles on Sunday Night Football

It won’t take much to get the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys hyped for this pivotal NFC East matchup on “Sunday Night Football”. The Cowboys are favored by a field goal after being underdogs against the Eagles in early November.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday at AT&T Stadium. The game will be broadcast on NBC.

The Eagles (10-2) sit atop the division and the NFC, but a blowout home loss against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 dragged them closer to the pack. That means the Cowboys (9-3) can take a giant step toward a division title and the NFC’s top seed with a win over their longtime rivals. If the Eagles win, they’ll hold a two-game lead and the tiebreaker.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts passed for a pair of third-quarter touchdowns to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in the Eagles’ 28-23 Week 9 win over the Cowboys. Still, Hurts’ 19-to-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio is far from stellar, and the 49ers limited him to a 57 percent completion rate and just one passing TD.

Micah Parsons, DaRon Bland and the Dallas defense have yielded an average of only 15.8 points per game at AT&T Stadium this year. Take away the 35 they surrendered in a Week 13 win over the Seahawks and that number falls to just 12 points per game.

On the other side of the ball, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has put together an MVP-worthy season. He has tossed half of his 26 touchdowns and just one interception during Dallas’ four-game winning streak.

CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks have combined for 1,679 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Tight end Jake Ferguson is a reliable third option with five TDs of his own.
